Accredited Schools Online – provides various educational resources

The Arc of Northern Virginia Provides support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Casper Minds, LLC.  A local organization  (based in Haymarket) focusing on social skills for kids on the autism spectrum.  This includes parent support groups and advocacy. Check out their newsletters.

The Children's Therapy Center, Springfield, VA  Provides occupational, speech, and physical therapy to children and teens. Accepts insurance reimbursement.  For more information, call (703) 569-7500.

Citation Machine.net.  Site helps students make citations in papers easy!

Council for Exceptional Children  Dedicated to improving the educational success of individuals with disabilities and/or gifts and talents

Educational Connections.  A local tutoring resource.  Their website contains useful handouts for parents on school-related subjects.  

Flashmaster--a cool video game designed to help kids learn their multiplication facts.

Handwriting Tutoring--Pediatric Achievements in Woodbridge.

High School Ace--an online learning center for high school students. It features interactive learning games, puzzles, and quizzes. It also includes subject guides for English, foreign languages, math, science, and social studies.   

I Love Languages.com--Contains information on learning foreign languages.   


Khan Academy.  Contains 2,600 educational videos for kids and teens to watch.  Includes math, physics, history, and more.  

LD Online--An excellent site with many resources for parents.

Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA)          

Learning Enhancement Centers.  Provides educational assistance to students with learning problems.  Offices in Fredericksburg and Springfield.

Literacy Access Online--Provides new, researched methods to help your child learn to read and enjoy the process of reading.  Includes Story-Builder, which lets you and your child create a story together.  You must log in first, select Literacy Explorer, then Story Selector.

Parliament Tutors.  Provides in-home tutoring services.  A consultation center is located in Arlington, but they also serve students from Woodbridge and Manassas.

UNDERSTOOD–resource to help your child with learning or attention problems, including dyslexia

Varsity Tutors–provides free practice tests in various subjects, flashcards, etc.  Tutoring also available for a fee.
