Sam Bowmer, L.C.S.W. Therapy for individuals, children, adolescents as well as their families. Special interests in child development, behavior management and parenting skills, Learning disabilities, ADHD/ADD, mood disorders and spectrum disorders. (Sam has recently rejoined our practice!)
Renee Burdett, MD Medical Director. Board-certified in both child/adolescent and adult psychiatry. Child, adolescent, and adult psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. Diagnostic evaluations for medication and treatment options. Special interest in ADHD, learning disorders, depression and anxiety in children and adolescents. Named as one of Washingtonian Magazine’s Top Doctors year after year.
LaToya D. Cheatham, L.C.S.W. Provides therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Special interests include grief counseling, depression, self-esteem, anxiety, women’s issues, relationship issues, stress, anger management, grief and loss, child development, behavior management, communication issues, parenting skills, learning disabilities, ADHD, ODD, mood disorders, and life transitions. Interventions are based on client’s needs and strengths to include cognitive-behavioral, task-oriented, insight-oriented, and solution-focused interventions.
James J. Crist, Ph.D., CSAC. Clinical Director. Individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Special interest in ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, addictive disorders, relapse prevention, ACOA issues, and anger management. Psychological assessment. Rachel Ehrmantraut, L.C.S.W. Provides therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Special interest in depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, anger management, stress management, women’s issues, self-esteem issues, parenting skills, and co-occuring mental health & developmental/intellectual disabilities. Interventions include client centered, strengths based approaches and include cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, solution focused intervention to assist individuals with meeting their goals.
Betty Graves, L.C.S.W., B.C.D. Therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Individual, family, and couples. Areas of interest include divorce, grief counseling, depression, family mediation, alcoholic families, women’s issues, stress and anger management, marriage enrichment. Board-certified diplomate in social work.
Hui Suk Kuk, PMHNP-BC. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner–Board Certified. Specialities include anxiety, stress, trauma/PTSD, sleep/insomnia, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, women’s issues, and depression. Other areas of interest include life transitions, dual diagnosis, grief/loss, gender identity related issues, and LGBTQIA+. She sees children, adolescents, and adults.
Christine Wheeler-Case Jones, LPC Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered PlayTherapist. Experience working within various settings, including residential, therapeutic day treatment within the school setting, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and outpatient counseling. Areas of expertise include providing services with children suffering from abuse and neglect and other traumatic stressors, issues related to being adopted or in foster care, mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, autism, and attachment issues. Provides therapy for children ages 2 and up. Christine is an active member of the Association for Play Therapy and the Virginia Association for Play Therapy. She was a contributing writer for the recently published book, The Bibliotherapy Toolbox by Tammi Van Hollander.
Jodi Witmer, RN, BSN, PMHNP-BC. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner–Board Certified. Provides holistic, personalized mental health care that integrates biological, psychological, social, and spiritual elements to treat the whole person. Sees patients of all ages (6 and above) and works with a variety of mental health issues.
